Delhi Police caught Swami Chaitanyanand Saraswati, also known as Parth Sarathi, late last night in Agra. Some people say he tricked and troubled female students enrolled in PGDM programs. These girls were part of the EWS scholarship program.
At a private management college in Vasant Kunj, Delhi, 17 female students said that they had faced sexual harassment by a man. He called himself a guru. He was hiding from the police until now. The investigations have found several shocking facts about how he carried out these acts.
Some people called the hostel where the students lived “Big Brother.” There were CCTV cameras in the hostel, always watching everyone. What made most of the students feel even more worried was that Chaitanyanand could see all the live camera feeds on his phone. This meant he could see everything the students did.
Police saw that he made people feel scared at the hostel. The 24-hour watch was not just for the safety of everyone. It was set up to make the students feel used and nervous all the time.
Key Findings from the Investigation Swami Chaitanyanand:
Access to CCTV feeds on mobile: Investigators say he can see all that is happening inside the hostel with his phone at any time.
Tampering with DVR to Destroy Evidence: Chaitanyanand is said to have messed around with the hostel’s DVR. He took out or changed the videos that could show his wrongdoings.
CCTV Cameras Under the Plating of Security: Cameras are set up in the halls, by the doors, and near bathrooms to watch students all the time. This made most feel unsafe. Most of them stayed quiet.
Blocking Certificates and Scaring Students: A few students were told they might lose their school papers if they spoke up. The team working at the hostel also had rules to follow. Students were told if they fought back, they could be sent away.

Unknown Credentials and More Suspected Acts: People are still looking into if he really got an MBA or PhD from the University of Chicago, like he claimed. The police took his Volvo. They say it had a United Nations sign that was not real.
Seventeen students have spoken up and made official complaints. They said Chaitanyanand sent them bad text messages. He touched them even when they did not want that to happen. They said he told them they could lose their spot at school if they did not do what he said. The students also said their parents were not allowed to come in or help them.
Delhi courts have said no to his asking for bail before arrest. The police are still looking into the case.
